Construction
The end-cap type ball screw consists of a screw shaft, nut, steel balls, and end caps. The nut features a through-hole machined axially to facilitate ball recirculation. The balls enter the end cap from the screw's helical grooves, pass through the through-hole, and return to the helical grooves, performing an infinite cycle. This design enables the balls to traverse both ends of the nut. With effective ball coverage across all helical grooves, the nut length is shorter than conventional designs while handling equivalent dynamic loads.
